Our endless quest for a good family photo. When, oh when, will we all be looking at the camera and smiling?


OK, fine. This photos is not about my dad... it is about the woman behind my dad. In slippers. And a knit hat. And a flowered skirt with lace trim, and hotel slippers. No, there was no performance or show nearby... this was her ensemble for the day.

There are 18 + signs all over our building's gym. I COULD NOT help myself and added one more sign. I tried. I tried not to think about it, draft it, print it, and post it at 11pm after Emmet got home.

Halloween on Astor Street. Superwoman was the highlight.
